Book launch 25 years BijlmAIR
CBK Zuidoost has been giving artists space to be inspired by Amsterdam Southeast for a quarter century. About the BijlmAIR residency program, the publication Live, Learn, Create…Repeat – BijlmAIR: 25 Years Artists in Amsterdam Southeast will be presented on Feb. 21, by CBK Zuidoost and publisher Jap Sam Books. With a special program and against the backdrop of the exhibition AIR In Southeast.
What does it mean to have a quarter-century residency in Amsterdam Southeast? For both the neighborhood and the artists – and for the Amsterdam art world? That’s what the bilingual publication Live, Learn, Create…Repeat is about . It contains a number of reflections as well as 99 profiles of artists, artist duos and collectives who have resided under the banner of BijlmAIR, CBK Zuidoost’s residency program, over the past twenty-five years.
