Art Rental
The art rental service works much like a library. You pay a monthly rental fee per artwork, whether you are an individual, a company, a school, or another non-profit institution. You can borrow as many works as you like, for as long as you wish. Would you like to try out an artwork of your choice first? You can! You will receive it free of charge for the first two months. If you are not satisfied, you can simply exchange it for a work that suits you better (or return the work). Take a look at our online catalog now!
When you take out a subscription, you pay according to the value of the work and build up savings. You can use this credit to purchase an artwork. Alternatively, you can choose an original gift from the CBK Gift Shop, our gift store where you will find beautiful jewelry, bags, and other design items. Read more here.
How does it work?
1. Choose from our collection
Our art rental collection consists of approximately 2,000 artworks and is very diverse: you will find photographs, drawings, paintings, sculptures, and other objects. Artworks by local, Amsterdam-based, and international artists. We have something for everyone. View the collection here. You are, of course, also welcome to come and browse in our building!
2. Get used to the artwork in your home or office
Once you have selected an artwork, you will have one month to get used to it. If you like the artwork, we will collect the subscription fee after the trial month. If it does not suit you, you can exchange it for another artwork or return it.
3. Borrowing is saving

4. Your savings credit

Companies
For companies, we offer three types of rates:
- Without savings credit – You pay 17% of the total value of the artworks you borrow per year.
- With 50% savings credit – You pay €24 per artwork per month, regardless of the value of the artwork. We reserve 50% of the rental fee as savings credit. You can use this savings credit to purchase art from our collection.
- Combination – A combination of both subscriptions is also possible. For example, you can choose the 17% rate for artworks in the lower price range and use the savings system for artworks with a value above €1,000.00.
Schools
Schools borrow from us at a significantly reduced rate because we believe it is important for children to come into contact with art at school. It is also possible to enter into a rental subscription in combination with a customized educational program. In that case, the students select artworks for the school themselves from our art rental collection.
