Join the carpentry fun again this summer!

It is already the fifth edition of Build Your Own City! Just like last year, you are very welcome in the garden of the Bijlmermuseum to spend two weeks getting hands-on. Together with the other children, you will decide what you want to build, and under the guidance of professionals, you will get to work! You will use materials that would otherwise be thrown away, such as pallet wood, plastic, metal, and fabrics.

It’s not just about building – just like last year, there will also be creative workshops. Which ones they are is still a surprise for now.

You may bring your own lunch, but it is not necessary – we provide a healthy midday meal. If you have specific allergies or cannot eat certain things for other reasons, we ask that you bring your own packed lunch.

Participate: If you want to be sure of a spot, please sign up using the form below. Please register before Friday, July 31. You can still sign up after this date, but this helps us know approximately how many participants to expect.

You are also welcome to drop by spontaneously on the day you want to participate; just register with one of the teachers before 10:30 AM. But please note: FULL=FULL!

Festive opening!
On Friday, August 14, the final day of construction, the City will be officially opened. The exact time is yet to be announced. Parents, brothers, sisters, grandparents: everyone is welcome! We will provide snacks and drinks!
