This weekend, we bid farewell to Nelson Carrilho (1953). The Curaçaoan artist, who studied, lived and worked in the Netherlands, was known for his socially critical and socially engaged works, such as Mama Baranka, a sculpture commemorating the murdered Kerwin Duinmeijer.
