Events during 24H Southeast

Geplaatst op , in

Every year during 24H Southeast, we open our doors for the audience to see what we’re working on. On April 12, you can see artist Jun Zhang at work, check out the winners of our interactive arts library expo and contribute to the discussion at Shebang about how to create a warm, welcoming space.

During 24H Southeast, you can spend a whole day discovering what’s happening in our neighbourhood in all sorts of areas. And, of course, you can also join us. At Heesterveld, Chinese artist Jun Zhang is opening the doors of the BijlmAIR residency. He is there by invitation to create work; he draws inspiration from nature, different cultures and the future. His latest work is about bardo, the transition between death and rebirth. For this work he draws inspiration from Amsterdam Southeast.
Between 2 and 6 pm at Heesterveld 69 – free entrance, but please register via the link on Eventbrite.

Between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. you can look at new acquisitions for our art library, the Bims Art Library, on the back wall of CBK Zuidoost. During the exhibition of Bims Art Gallery – New Arrivals, the public could vote for works they would like to see in CBK Zuidoost’s collection. The winners will be exhibited during 24H Zuidoost, while the large presentation room is being prepared for the new exhibition opening on April 25.
From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Anton de Komplein 120.

At SHEBANG in Bijlmer West, you can have a say in how to create a warm place in the neighbourhood. This happens together with the artists of collective MOHA who use art to connect people. Let your voice be heard over a cup of coffee or tea. And while you’re there, you can visit the exhibition ‘nulgraad’ in the main space, by guest curator charl landvreugd.
From 2 – 6 pm at Hettenheuvelweg 8.
