Around Labor Day, CBK Zuidoost will host a small art market where several artists and creatives will sell their work. For instance, special editions of the UMA bags, which have been available in the Gift Shop for some time, will be for sale. The UMA bags are made in Suriname, and each handmade wooden handle is carved according to the Tembe art of the Maroon community. In addition to the bags, jewelry and traditional cakes and pastries will also be sold.
The market will take place on May 1 and 2 at CBK Zuidoost, located at Anton de Komplein 120, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
